The Update Installer for Java updates IBM-supplied releases and service refreshes of IBM Developer Kits and Runtime Environments with updates that are provided by IBM support. The IBM Update Installer is a temporary mechanism for addressing a critical security vulnerability. A subsequent update to your SDK may remove fixes applied by the IBM Update Installer.
